24 HRS IN BRISBANE

There's nothing like a quick little weekend getaway...

We went to Brisbane for just 24 hours and in just one day we fell in love with this up and coming city. From food to hotels and everything in between it was just perfect.

Here's how it went...

MORNING:

We checked into the Calile Hotel and wow, it is even better in person. This Fortitude Valley hotel is easily one of the coolest hotels we have stayed in. The hotels signature travertine, duck-egg blue and copper accents tie everything together and make for a luxe, stylish space.

BREAKFAST:

After hearing so much about Lune Croissant, we had make it our first stop. We ordered a bunch of different pastries to share and we have been dreaming of them ever since. If you have a sweet tooth this is a must! Be sure to try the twice baked Almond Croissant.

LUNCH:

We had the perfect poolside lunch at Hellenika in the Calile Hotel. We enjoyed a fresh and delicious Greek Salad, fried calamari, zucchini chips and various wraps which were so flavoursome. We cant wait to be back here!

NOON:

We spent the afternoon by the pool having drinks and admiring the spectacular view. The staff were so obliging and helpful, we ordered drinks from Hellenika all afternoon whilst soaking up the sun. We recommend the 'Adonis' cocktail which is sweet and refreshing, served icy cold.

DINNER:

We have not stopped speaking about dinner at SK Steak & Oyster, each dish was better than the next. Our favourites were the Spanner Crab Pasta and the Steak Au Poivre, we also had to try the Wagyu Burger and we did not regret ordering it as it was one of the best burgers we have ever had.
